Fund a Scholarship
The HIAS scholarship program offers a unique opportunity to help the next generation of immigrants. Through HIAS Scholarships that help to defray the costs of attending college and/or other post-secondary schools, immigrants are able to realize their dreams of a college education and a better life. The Scholarship Program offers donors a variety of ways in which to give.
About HIAS Scholarship Awards
The awards are intended for students who plan to pursue post-secondary education and students already enrolled in post-secondary education programs. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, financial need and Jewish communal involvement. Last year, HIAS awarded over $300,000 in U.S. and Israeli Scholarships.
All applicants in the U.S. must demonstrate at least one year's attendance in an American high school, college, or graduate school. For applicants in Israel, one year of study (2 complete semesters) at an Israeli college or university is required.
Establishing a Scholarship Fund
The minimum gift for an ongoing scholarship fund is $25,000. You can also make a one-time gift of $2,000 for a U.S. scholarship or $1000 for an Israeli scholarship which can be repeated as often as you like.
To create or renew a one-time scholarship award, or to establish an on-going scholarship award, please print a scholarship giving form and mail or fax it to us today. Forms should be mailed with your contribution to:
